Our Commitment to Sustainability
ECC UK was started in 2019 as the team wanted to work in a more sustainable sector. ECC UK’s want to pursue a sustainable future while acting with integrity to bring this about. ECC believe that values are not just ideals but essential principles that should guide our growth. We understand the importance of addressing the environmental question and we are dedicated to challenging ourselves to work more sustainably each day.
We are dedicated to challenging ourselves to work more sustainably each day. We do this in five key ways:

One - Reducing our Carbon Footprint
We are dedicated to reducing emissions and conserving resources, small changes can build to a big difference. Our office teams are given the option of working from home to minimise their own emissions. We utilise a ‘think before you print’ policy and any printing you do see from ECC will be on recycled paper. Our electronics might not be the 2023 models, but they are fully functioning and will be used, repaired and eventually recycled to make sure they don’t go to landfill.

Two - Sustainable Practices
We don’t have rubbish, we have recycling! ECC recycle over 70% of all waste produced from our EV installations. We remove all cardboard, plastic and metal when completing an installation and recycle everything we can. It’s currently not possible to recycle 100% of our waste but we have a culture of seeking opportunities to further improve our recycling efforts.

Three - Checking in with our Supply Chain
There are many charge point manufacturers, and we want to work with those that are serious about their impact on the planet. Two of the best around are Ratio EV, who have been recognised as being a carbon neutral company, and Easee Charge, who are part of the Responsible Business Alliance.

Four - Continuous Learning
We are ISO14001 certified, showing a strong commitment to measure and minimize our environmental impact, demonstrating our dedication to maintaining the highest environmental standards and constantly improving practices.
Community Engagement
As we look to our future, we are keen to get involved with local and global initiatives. Recently we worked with a school in the East Midlands, delivering books to kids – it’s something we’re looking to do more of. Also, we are currently in conversation with a charity that provides safe access to energy and water using solar power, to give off-grid communities the tools they need to become self-sufficient. ECC take pride in contributing to the sustainability of the communities that surround them.
As an organisation, ECC are resolutely dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint, fostering sustainable practices, and engaging with like-minded partners and communities.
