For a limited time only, SME businesses are eligible for at least £4,250 free funding when they install 5 or more charging points for staff or fleet use.

To get this deal, you must:

  • Be a decision maker for your business
  • Employ less than 250 people
  • Have a commercial premises with 5 or more parking spaces
  • Intend to use the chargers for staff and fleet vehicles
  • Spare no more than 40 minutes of your time

  • Q: Can I get more grant funding if I have more chargers?

    Absolutely! If you have more than 5 chargers, and you will get more grant funding – when you complete the survey, please state how many chargers you would like.

    The grant is capped at £15,000 for each site, up to a maximum of 5 sites.

  • Q: I have more than one site, can I get the funding for each site?

    Yes you can! Provided each site meets the same criteria, minimum of five space, and the chargers are primarily for staff and fleet use. But you can only claim for a maximum of 5 sites.

    The grant is capped at £15,000 for each site, up to a maximum of 5 sites.

  • Q: Does the grant mean the chargers are free?

    Unfortunately not. The way the grant works is that it is a contribution towards the cost of supply and installation and cannot be more than 75% of the total project cost.

    The reason we ask for a survey is so we can provide a quotation for the works.

  • Q: Are there any extra charges?

    No, but there are optional extra’s. If you want basic software to allow restricted or free access to the chargers, this is all included.

    We do offer a service contract, but this is not compulsory. It only costs £360 plus VAT per year (£30 per month). For this, we will come out and service the chargers every year and be on call if you have any problems.

    We also offer payment software (allowing you to charge people to use the chargers) and this costs £7 plus VAT per month, per socket.

  • Q: Can I charge people to use my chargers?

    Yes, we can provide you with software that allows you to apply different charging tariffs different user types to use the chargers, this is only £7 per month, per socket – but you don’t have to do this right away if you don’t want to. We can add this at a later date.

  • Q: Can I restrict people from using the chargers?

    Yes, we supply you with 20 key fobs and these can be issued to the people you want to use the charging points. This means unauthorised people will not be able to use them.

    If you want to remove the restrictions so that your staff and fleet simply plug and charge, this is all included.

  • Q: Am I signing up to a contract with this deal?

    Not at all. Our payment software (if you want to charge for usage) is on a rolling monthly contract – so you can cancel this at any time.

  • Q: I’m a tenant, do I need permission from my landlord or managing agent?

    It’s a good idea to seek approval from your landlord or managing agent in advance of us installing.

  • Q: Do I have enough power at my site for 5 chargers?

    We evaluate this from your survey images. If you don’t have enough power, we will be honest and tell you straight away. We can help you to apply for an upgrade from your energy provider to see if any costs are related to doing this. This will take about 30 minutes of your time to complete.
