Objective: Implement a charging point solution for staff, fleet and visitors
Electric Car Chargers UK (ECC UK) were successfully awarded the contract for installing an electric vehicle charging solution at the McVities factory in Harlesdon, in conjunction with World Fuel Services Corporation.
World Fuel Services Corporation (WFS) are a global giant in the energy sector and have started to support their clients by introducing renewable technologies such PV solar, battery storage and electric vehicle charging.
Pladis Global, a British confectionery and snack foods company own businesses such as United Biscuits, Ülker, Godiva Chocolatier and DeMet’s Candy Company. WFS introduced the prospect of electric vehicle charging to Pladis Global, and with the support of ECC UK, they benefited from a £1,400 grant from OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) who contribute towards electric vehicle charging provisions for staff and fleets.
This now allows Pladis Global employees to switch their company vehicles to more tax efficient electric models, as well as extend this benefit to staff who plan on switching to electric in the near future.

Installing the Newmotion electric vehicle charging points allowed us to install 4 x 22kW sockets despite the available power being very limited in the area where they wished to have charging points installed. By applying load balancing across the 4 charging sockets, this will vary the charging output from each socket, dependant on the number of sockets in use.
