Why choose ECC for solar and batteries?

Solar is an electrical installation first and foremost. Choosing an established electrical contractor means your system is designed, installed and certified properly, by people who will still be here in ten years.

Eight years at the sharp end

We have installed commercial electrical infrastructure for the NHS, multi site school trusts, councils and brands like McVitie’s. That pedigree now backs every solar and battery project.

Qualified, in house engineers

Every install is carried out by our own MCS certified, NAPIT registered team. No subcontractors, no strangers on your roof, one company accountable from survey to sign off.

Quality kit, real guarantees

We only fit proven panels, inverters and batteries with long manufacturer warranties, backed by our own workmanship guarantee. No cheap imports, no cutting corners.

One partner for the whole picture

Solar, battery storage and EV charging from one team. Generate your own power, store it, and use it to run your building and charge your vehicles.

For businesses, schools and councils

Energy is now a boardroom issue. A commercial solar and battery system cuts your bills from day one, protects you from price rises, and moves your organisation towards its carbon targets with numbers you can show.

  • Cut daytime electricity costs, when most organisations use the most power
  • Store surplus energy in batteries and use it in the evening or sell it back
  • Pair with workplace EV charging so your fleet runs on your own sunshine
  • A written proposal with costs, savings and payback before you commit

For your home

The same qualified team, the same quality equipment, sized for your roof and how your household actually uses energy. As MCS certified installers, our installations qualify for export payments on the energy you sell back to the grid.

  • Lower your bills and shrink what you buy from the grid
  • A battery stores your solar energy, or charges on cheap overnight rates
  • Tidy, safe installation by qualified electricians, fully certified
  • Clear pricing and honest advice on what your roof can really deliver

Common questions

Why does MCS certification matter?

MCS is the quality standard for renewable installations in the UK. It means the system and the installer meet independently audited standards, and it is what allows you to receive export payments for the surplus energy you sell back to the grid.

Do batteries make sense without solar?

Often, yes. A battery can charge on cheap overnight tariffs and power your building or home during expensive peak hours. Combined with solar it works even harder, storing your free daytime energy for the evening.

How long does an installation take?

Most home installations are completed in one to two days. Commercial projects vary with size, and we plan the work around your operations, including out of hours and weekend installs where needed.

Can you combine solar with EV charging?

Yes, and it is where the numbers get really interesting. We design systems where your panels generate the energy, your battery stores it, and your charge points put it straight into your vehicles.
