Installing chargers is the easy part. Keeping them live, and looking after drivers when they are not, is where most networks struggle. ECC UK takes on the aftercare for charge point operators, facilities managers and main contractors: monitoring, a 24/7 driver helpline, call outs and planned maintenance, across England.
What’s included
- Remote monitoring. We watch charger status through the back office and pick up faults before your drivers report them.
- 24/7 Charger Helpline. A staffed, free to call line for your drivers, day and night, every day of the year. Every call logged and reported.
- First line fixes, remotely. Resets, firmware, configuration and comms issues cleared without a site visit where possible.
- Call outs on a clear SLA. Next working day as standard, within 24 hours for emergencies, any time.
- Planned maintenance. Route planned annual inspection, testing and firmware updates, with results and photos for every charger.
- Monthly reporting. Uptime, faults, time to attend, first time fix and helpline contacts, in one report.
Onboarding and pricing
Your chargers move onto our back office. Send us your asset list and we audit it remotely first, so you know which chargers move over the air and which need a visit.
- £10 per socket for remote onboarding, in batches of 50 sockets or more.
- Once onboarded, the back office is free for life. No monthly licence fee.
- Monitoring and maintenance at volume rates per socket, with one account fee instead of a fee per site.
- Any site visits are planned by region and booked by the engineer day, so you are not paying for one charger here and one there.
Built for public charging rules
Public charge point operators must run a free, staffed 24 hour helpline and report on reliability. You display the Charger Helpline number at your chargers as your driver helpline, and we give you the call logs and uptime data your reporting under the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 needs. You remain the operator; we do the legwork.
How a fault gets fixed
- Alert or ticket. From our monitoring, the Charger Helpline, your helpdesk or the site.
- Remote triage. Many faults are cleared remotely, without an engineer travelling.
- Engineer attends. Next working day as standard, within 24 hours for emergencies.
- Closed and reported. Fix notes, photos and parts used, logged against the charger and in your system if you want.

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to move to your back office? Yes, for partner cover. We handle the migration after a remote audit, and once your chargers are on our platform there is no monthly licence fee.
What if some chargers cannot be onboarded remotely? We tell you before you commit. Those chargers are quoted separately and visited on planned engineer days by region.
How does the helpline work? It is answered 24 hours a day as the Charger Helpline. You put our helpline number on signage and we log every call for your records.
Can you work in our ticketing system? Yes. Our engineers can attend as your contractor and close tickets in your own system where you give us access.
We only have one site. Can you help? Yes. See our EV charger maintenance plans for businesses.
