Electric Chargers UK, Business and public charging points with ozev funding

Objective: Electric car charging solution for staff and fleets

Electric Car Chargers UK (ECC UK) were successfully awarded the contract to install a 22kW electric vehicle charging points for G’s Fresh in Ely to help their staff and fleet vehicles switch to electric.

G’s Fresh are very well established in growing vegetable crops and supplying the major retail brands across the UK and Europe. With multiple sites across the UK, G’s Fresh have been looking to incentive their staff to switch the company vehicles to electric, whilst allowing non-company car staff also enjoy the benefit at their workplace.

Electric Car Chargers UK have implemented a solution that enables all of the sites to work on one operating system that can attribute the cost of charging to different cost centres as company vehicles charge at different locations.

G’s Fresh Solution
5 x 22kW sockets installed for staff and fleet use
£1,750 OLEV grant funding contribution
Back office management system to monitor usage
Solution allowing RFID key fobs to be used at all company sites

Electric Car Chargers installed a 22kW solution that can be load managed should additional charging points be required in the future. 22kW charging points can add 90 miles for every hours charge for compatible vehicles and this will be adequate for G’s Fresh Ely’s immediate requirements.
